Jake Gyllenhaal is taking on the lead role in the highly anticipated remake of the '80s classic action movie Road House, alongside Conor McGregor in an undisclosed role.
The studio decided to release the film on Prime Video instead of theaters, possibly due to the firing of previous producer Joel Silver amid reports of verbally abusive misconduct.
Gyllenhaal is no stranger to intense physical transformations for his roles, having put on 15lbs of muscle for his portrayal of a champion boxer in Southpaw and undergoing rigorous training for other fast-paced projects.
