<![CDATA['The Nun 2' End-Credits Scene Explained — Who Ya Gonna Call?]]> The eighth film in the Conjuring's increasingly spooky cinematic universe, The Nun II does a fantastic job of bridging the entire series together. Despite the obvious connection of Frenchie (Jonas Bloquet), I'd be lying if I said I didn't go into the film looking for a deeper connection between the Nun movies and the main Conjuring films. Given the casting of both Vera Farmiga and Taissa Farmiga in the same franchise — real-life sisters and both accomplished scream queens — fans have been searching for a connection between their two characters since 2018. Now, The Nun II gives us our answer!

<![CDATA['What If?' Season 2 Review — Marvel's Multiverse Series Doesn't Do Enough]]> When Marvel released the first season of their animated anthology series, What If...?, it was a simpler time. The MCU had flirted with the idea of a canonical multiverse, with hints dropping in WandaVision, Loki Season 1, and, of course, the multiversal crossover event that was Spider-Man: No Way Home. The best thing about the What If...? concept, and indeed, the first season of the series, was the zero-pressure takes on so many of our favorite MCU characters. Like a child playing with action figures, What If...? was allowed to be nonsensical, high-concept, and have zero repercussions for it. For that, it was refreshing.

<![CDATA['House of Villains' Winner Tanisha Thomas Reveals Her Winning Strategy and Prize Money Plans [Interview]]]> The new reality TV show, House of Villains, put 10 villains in the same house to compete for $200,000 and the title of America's Ultimate Supervillain. The stars competed, put their target on the hit list, and voted to banish their competitors one by one. But it was unclear how the new show would determine a winner. The finale showed Tanisha Thomas, Jonny Fairplay, Johnny Bananas, Anfisa Arkhipchenko, and Shake Chatterjee competing for Supervillain of the Week one last time, becoming a finalist. Bananas won and had the power to save one villain. He chose his close ally, Tanisha. Anfisa then beat Fairplay and Shake in the following competition. The jury voted on the finalists and Tanisha and Bananas tied with three votes. Anfisa was eliminated and broke the tie. She voted for Tanisha to win.

<![CDATA['Gen V' Isn't the First Time Marie Has Appeared in 'The Boys' Universe]]> While we eagerly await Season 4 of The Boys, the folks at Vought, er, Amazon, have blessed us with the series' first spin-off: Gen V. Gen V is set at Godolkin University, the feeder school for Vought where only the best of the best Supes can make it onto The Seven. What makes Gen V so intriguing is that it gives us a fresh perspective. We’ve seen the world through the lens of the likes of Homelander (Antony Starr) and Vought, and we’re very familiar with the way The Boys like Hughie (Jack Quaid) and Butcher (Karl Urban) see the world, but never have we seen it from this level. These Supe-students are unaware of Vought’s lack of morals and hold The Seven in high esteem like any other non-Supe civilian. But they all have the potential to join The Seven and have powers of their own, which separates them from the rest of The Seven’s doting fans.

<![CDATA[50 Best Christmas Movies of All Time, Ranked]]> There are plenty of yearly holidays celebrated throughout the world, and many of the biggest ones have movies attached to them. There are movies that capture the spirit of Valentine's Day, there are movies that are best watched around Easter, the horror genre is intrinsically tied to Halloween, and 2023 even graced cinema with a noteworthy Thanksgiving film, appropriately titled Thanksgiving. But no time of the year gets represented quite as often in cinema as Christmastime, perhaps owing to the fact that it's a holiday which - alongside New Year's Eve - concludes every single year.

<![CDATA['Bob's Burgers' Belcher Family Tree Explained]]> With 15 seasons (and counting) and a movie, Bob's Burgers is definitely one of the biggest hit shows in our current TV landscape. A lot of the success of the series has to do with its unmistakable sense of humor, which might've gotten a bit more wholesome over the course of the seasons but never lost its ability to make us laugh. However, there is also another secret ingredient that makes Bob's Burgers so beloved: the charming dynamics between working-class chef Bob Belcher (H. Jon Benjamin) and his extremely functional, but also more than a little wacky family.

<![CDATA['Money Heist's "Bella Ciao" Song Has a Deeper Meaning]]> "Bella Ciao" isn't just a pop anthem that the popular series Money Heist thrust into the global spotlight, the Italian folk song is a revolutionary cry. It's a melody that transcends the heist, uniting comrades for their common cause. A symbol of defiance, "Bella Ciao" originated from Italian resistance — first, rice laborers resisting mistreatment at work, and later, partisans resisting fascism. In Money Heist, the song rallies the crew behind The Professor as they defiantly challenge the system. It's an echo that reminds the robbers that it is not just about the heist. It's about fighting against injustice in a Robin Hood-like rebellion. It is about facing a rigged system head-on. A system that takes away a three-year-old baby from her mother, Nairobi (Alba Flores), after it fails to protect her, blaming her instead for its own corruption that left her hopeless. But it also reminds the thieves in the halls and the tunnels of the heist that freedom will come at a price, and there will be times they will say "Bella Ciao" ("Goodbye Beautiful") to each other for the sake of the common goal. And with it, the public in the series and the audience are united with the robbers and bellowing with them, "Bella Ciao," in their resistance.
